You deserve to feel
in control of your
own birth.

Something about your pregnancy doesn’t feel right.

Maybe you've left appointments with more questions than you arrived with. Maybe you've been told things that didn't feel right, but you didn't know how to question them or say no. Maybe your last birth left a mark that nobody has ever fully helped you process.

  • “I feel like decisions are being made about me, not with me.”

  • “I don’t really understand what my options are.”

  • ‘I’m terrified of ending up in a situation that I didn’t choose or couldn’t prevent.”

  • My last birth left me with unanswered questions and I KNOW I can do this.'“

  • '“I want to trust my body. I just need some help to get there."

What Can a Virtual Doula Actually Do?

I help you move from uncertainty to self-belief.

Working together doesn't just prepare you for birth. It changes how you relate to your own body, your instincts, and the system around you. I believe in you, and you will learn to believe in yourself.

Support Through Pregnancy

  • Prenatal Sessions

Five sessions spread across your pregnancy, and built entirely around you. We cover the physiology of labour, your rights within the system, decision-making under pressure, birth planning, breathing, movement and whatever else you need to feel genuinely prepared.

  • Support From Booking

Alongside our sessions, I am here to support you between calls. If anything arises - such as a scan result, a midwife or consultant appointment, a recommendation you want to talk through - I am just a WhatsApp message away. I am by your side through your journey.

  • Postnatal Session

A postnatal call to offer support around your feeding journey and postpartum recovery. This is also a space for you to gently unpack your birth experience, what happened, how it felt, and what it means for you going forward with your baby.

  • I truly cannot express how much Evony positively helped my pregnant and birthing mind. She was with me throughout pregnancy to talk to and when it came to my beautiful birth, I couldn't have asked for a more incredible experience with her by my side. You are an amazing birthkeeper!

    — Lauren, 2nd baby homebirth

  • I will literally be grateful to you for the rest of my life Ev. Your work is so important.

    - Alex, 3rd baby, Home VBAC

  • Words can never sum up the positive emotional impact Evony has had on our lives. I hired Evony as a private midwife and had a beautiful healing homebirth after a traumatic second birth. Birth is such a vulnerable time but with right care can be a truly empowering experience. Me and my family will be forever grateful for the care Evony provided. She is worth her weight in gold!

    Hannah, independent midwifery client, homebirth.

This Is More Than Birth Preparation

This isn't a course you complete alone. It's a real relationship, built around your pregnancy, your questions, and your birth.

I work in a trauma-informed way, will debrief any previous pregnancy and birth experiences and am respectful of the many paths pregnancy and birth can take - from freebirth to planned caesarean.

My focus is on helping you optimise your chances of a physiological vaginal birth, including homebirth, waterbirth, or active birth.

  • No one loves your baby more than you. We dive into what may influence you on your journey, and you’ll get clear on what truly matters to you, so your preparation begins from within, what’s important to you.

    Focus areas:

    • personal values and definitions of safety for you and your baby

    • beliefs about the body, birth, and authority and how that can affect your decision making

    • nervous system patterns under stress - what could impact you and how can you work with your body

Outcome:  A felt sense of self-trust and clarity about what matters most.

  • Rather than feeling overruled by guidelines or feeling you have to ‘fight’ - you’ll learn how to make your voice heard, be supported and maintain a sense of autonomy.

    Focus areas:

    • Current culture around physiological birth in the NHS

    • how risk is framed and communicated

    • guidelines, beliefs and common ways physiological birth can be derailed

    • informed consent and decision rights

  • To claim your natural birth, you need to know deeply what supports it - and what hinders it, from over 20 years of supporting physiological birth.

    Focus areas:

    • the hormonal and neurological physiology of labour and birth

    • the conditions that support a natural physiological labour and birth

    • factors that can disrupt or alter labour, your options and what you can do to help yourself

    • understanding variations in labour and how to support your labour progress

  • You’ll explore how your mind, your body and baby work together, ways to make that journey together easier and insider knowledge to create your personalised birth vision, because this is really possible for you.

    Focus areas:

    • a really personal birth plan

    • understanding your communication needs and boundaries

    • I work with your partner too to support them to advocate for you

Outcome: You will have a birth plan rooted in your own experience, any previous births, and history so that it feels really aligned and ways to articulate this to your care providers.

  • No one can promise the outcome of a birth because sometimes things happen outside of our control. I share with you what these unexpected curveballs might be and how you make your Positive Plan B, where you maintain your sense of choice and control. This is a key part to reducing the likelihood of feeling traumatised by your birth experience, if things change dramatically from what you had hoped for, which is one of the most important step in navigating birth on your terms.

Preparing for change while maintaining autonomy

    Focus areas:

    • recognising curveballs and shifting circumstances

    • decision-making under pressure

    • developing Positive Plan B

    • maintaining emotional safety when plans change

Outcome: The ability to adapt without losing a sense of self or choice.

  • After birth, we meet again to create the space to acknowledge this incredible journey and rite of passage, that you’ve just been through. To hold space for you, answer questions and unpack anything you need to, in order to move forward as a mother or birthing parent.

Making sense of the experience, whatever unfolds

    Focus areas:

    • processing birth experiences

    • recognising strength and resilience

    • identifying ongoing emotional or practical support

Outcome: A sense of completion, meaning, and being held through your birth experience.

I know the maternity system - and I know what women need that it doesn't always give.

I spent more than 20 years as a midwife, specialising in physiological and normal birth. I've sat with women in the most vulnerable moments of their lives, before, during and after birth. I've seen what happens when they feel supported, informed, and trusted - and I've seen what happens when they don't.

I offer a virtual doula service because I can only take a limited number of in-person clients. And midwifery alone wasn't enough. I wanted to be fully, consistently, in your corner.

I work with women who want to be active participants in their birth. I'm trauma-informed, evidence-literate, and I will never tell you what to decide. I will make sure you have everything you need to decide for yourself, because no one loves your baby more than you.
