A doula training in Cornwall, rooted in physiology and the wise woman tradition.

Join me in person for a 3 day immersion as we unpack the role of the birthkeeper, how to support pregnancy holistically and explore the practical skills and wisdom to optimise physiological birth at home, in water, and in the hospital environment. It’s more than a training, it’s a gathering of sisters called to birth work and you will leave with more than just knowledge as you step onto this path.

What Does Our Doula Training In Cornwall Include?

Over this 3 day immersion in pregnancy and birth we will explore the following as just ONE part of your full training. On registering for the doula course you will also have immediate access to all the online modules, which are a core component in your learning and self development.

Our Physiological Birth Focused Doula Training in Cornwall:

  • The Wise Woman approach to being a doula and birthkeeper

  • The holistic and medical models of birth and how we weave our way between them

  • Prenatal support, belly mapping

  • Birth physiology, holistic stages of birth and how to ‘support’ physiological birth, including waterbirth

  • Longer labours, support measures, using biomechanics and rebozo wisely

  • Birthing the placenta, exploring and honouring it

  • Exploring the unexpected - emergency scenarios, transfers, boundaries and roles

  • Creating and sitting in circle together over the weekend, honouring our spiritual self and giving space to safely share our calling, our worries and our visions

  • Physiological birth and what it looks like through the stages of labour, and the foundations of presence in undisturbed birth in practice

  • Boundaries, scope of practice and how to hold your integrity across all settings.

  • Working alongside healthcare professionals while staying aligned with woman- and birthing-person-centred care.

  • Birth preparation and planning with depth weaving the inner work to make intuitive choices

  • When birth takes a different path: supporting clients through interventions, transfers and unexpected outcomes.

  • Exploring freebirth and wild pregnancy with a balanced perspective and how to support clients safely within your scope of practice.

  • Listening skills, holding space, and reading the unspoken including approaching sensitive topics with care.

  • Self-care and honouring your own nervous system as a birthkeeper

  • Building your business: fees, finding clients, marketing, networking
